Electrical Engineer’s Operating System is a Linux based (Ubuntu 13.04 based) OS that contains a number of Open-Source software packages made for electrical engineers. Ubuntu core and LX Desktop Environment are combined into a lightweight operating system pre-customized for office and/or field work.Variety of software packages and apps that comes with EEOS makes very good and functional unity for an Engineer. Electrical schematics software, 2D and 3D CAD software, EDA software, numerical and symbolical computing software and other calculation software are pre-installed and pre-customized for direct use after OS install.Besides engineering apps, there are other, general-use apps installed, such are: browser, e-mail client, burning software, multimedia player, network manager and others that make this OS functional even for tasks not related to engineering.EEOS comes as live-boot DVD, which is ideal for reviewing before installation.This OS is best used combined in dual boot with some other general-use OS as are Windows, MAC, or some other OS of your choice.
